Family, assets, guardians, executor. We ask one thing at a time and explain anything unclear. Pause whenever you need - your progress is saved.
We generate your will and send it straight back to you in WhatsApp. Sign it with two witnesses to make it legally valid under South African law.
We work for the majority of South Africans whose estate planning is straightforward: assets, dependants, guardians, executors, beneficiaries.
If you have a complex estate - like multiple businesses, offshore assets, trusts, a contested marriage or substantial wealth - please see a qualified attorney directly. We'll always tell you when your situation is outside what we can responsibly handle.
A will is a serious document. We treat it like one, and still make it feel like a conversation.
Compliant with the Wills Act, 1953 and drafted with input from South African attorneys.
No app to download, no forms, no logins. Just a conversation in the app you already have.
Life is busy. Answer when you can, and we hold your place and pick up where you left off.
You choose who handles your estate. We never quietly appoint ourselves, unlike much of the industry.
No credit card to begin. Add an attorney review whenever it suits you.

I kept putting off writing my will for years. 4Will made it so easy. I was done before my coffee went cold.

As a single mom, knowing my children are protected gives me real peace of mind. The format just made sense.

Sceptical at first, but it walked me through everything clearly. Even helped me think through who to name as executor.

Straightforward, honest, and fast. I finally have a will. Took me less time than filling out a bank form.

The fact that they don't force themselves as executor sold me. You feel like the customer, not the product.
The will document 4Will generates is a standard written will compliant with the Wills Act 7 of 1953. It is not legally valid until you print it and sign it in the presence of two adult witnesses, who must also sign. 4Will produces the document. The physical signing makes it legally binding.
Your personal information is encrypted at rest and in transit. We comply with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) and will never sell your data to third parties. You can request deletion of your information at any time.
4Will's template and process have been developed with input from South African-qualified attorneys. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. If your situation is complex, we will tell you and recommend you see an attorney directly.
You can go back and correct your answers at any time before your will is finalised. After generation, you can start a new session to create an updated will. Simply ensure only the latest signed version is treated as your current will.
Yes. Life changes: marriages, divorces, children, assets. You can return to 4Will at any time to create an updated will. When you sign your new will, it automatically revokes your previous one (a revocation clause is included in every 4Will document).
Starting your will on 4Will is free. We offer a paid tier that includes attorney review and the ability to update your will over time. See our pricing section for current details.
Yes. Under the Wills Act, your will must be signed by you and two competent adult witnesses, all present at the same time. Witnesses should not be beneficiaries in the will. 4Will's signing block guides you through this clearly.
4Will is designed for straightforward estates. If you have multiple businesses, offshore assets, trusts, or a complex family situation, we will let you know and recommend you see a qualified estate planning attorney. We would rather be honest than give you a will that doesn't serve you.
